Item Description
Fine crystals of classic, soft pink Cobalt-bearing Smithsonite like this can only be from Tsumeb and were found in the late 1960s and in the 1970s. This is a very choice and complete miniature composed of lustrous, translucent crystals to 1.5 cm, and that is very displayable all around. The quality is high because of the shape, condition, lovely pastel pink color and unusual translucency of these large crystals. The centers of the larger crystals are actually transparent and gemmy! Because of the crystal size, fine luster, and even color, this is a very good competition level miniature for the varietal, much better than most in its size class.
