Item Description
Scintillating, shocking pink, rhombs of cobaltoan calcite crystals fully line the 4.0 x 3.5 cm sculptural vug in on this intensely colorful, fabulous specimen. This is about the most vibrant pink calcite we have seen from any worldwide locale. Essentially pristine, except for the periphery wear on the edge of the vug. Old-time material from the 1970s or 80s and very rarely on the market with this amazing color and quality. This piece was found with others in the storage unit of deceased dealer Gilbert Gauthier, at Tucson of 2012. Valued for scintillating neon color, and size, at $400-500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
