Rich rose, translucent, bubbly cobaltoan calcite botryoids with sugary, frosted texture cover the sculptural gossan matrix on this very colorful and impressive specimen from a NEW Chinese find in Wenshan, famous for outstanding hemimorphite, calcite and aragonite specimens. The side views shows the nature of the banded calcite crust. The piece GLOWS, when backlit! The base has been sawed and the piece displays well.
