Cobaltoan Calcite (New Find)

Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, pink cobaltoan calcite crystals cover the matrix plate on this beautiful specimen from recent finds at Bou Azzer, Morocco. The glassy crystals have pyramidal terminations and the crystal sides have very interesting, micro stepped-growth faces. The quality and color of these scalenohedrons are excellent. Trivial periphery and edge wear are noted, but are very modest detractions. Crystals reach 1.0 cm on this very showy piece.
