Cobaltoan Calcite (excellent - 2 generations)

Incredible neon-pink, glassy, cobaltoan calcite rhombs have a striking second generation overcoat of orangey cobaltoan calcite. These large rhombs have simply amazing, highly lustrous, stepped-growth faces! It is so far above the crowd of "normal quality" that it is like another find altogether, and is gram for gram one of the finest Moroccan pink calcites I have laid hands on. These are, mark my words, undervalued in our time as they come out. This kind of intense color and luster, combined with translucency, just does not occur so often in any species, and it is gorgeous in a case. Just a few small bruises, along with the periphery wear are noted. The photography of the piece is difficult...it really IS that saturated. Valued at $900.
