Item Description
Dramatically colorful, fantasy-like, biomorphic cobaltoan calcite and aragonite from recent finds at the Wenshan area (probably actually nearby but not from where the others are from.... but we do not have an exact locality on these that have trickled out sparsely for a few years). The two stunning parallel-growth rich pink cobaltoan calcite stalactites with a secondary protruding helectite look like the head, beak, neck and chest of a cartoon bi-colored turkey. The body and tail of the turkey are composed of striking sprays of very glassy, elongated aragonite crystals. This amazing combination has a surreal 360-degree visual aspect. Certainly a unique looking and colorful combination from the cave deposits at Wenshan. Purchased in China, in 2018, directly! The vibrant pink color saturation and specimen form are remarkable.
