Item Description
Vivid pink, translucent cobaltoan calcite on this sculptural small cabinet crust from a recent 2018 find at the cave karsts of Wenshan County. The sparkly sugary matte lustre accents the rippled texture of the intergrown botryoids. A very fine and artistic example from the find. The richess of the pink color is noteworthy. Purchased in China, direct from the miners! These are very rare pockets, seldom seen. Probably they actually come from Guangdong and the location is a bit of a fib to hide the true origin - working on that. But they are definitely from southern China
