Item Description

Stunning neon-pink spherical aggregates of sparkly, glassy cobaltoan calcite microcrystals dramatically fill a 3-dimensional sculptural vug on the blocky small cabinet matrix. This shockingly colorful piece is from the famous Mashamba West Mine. The bit of noted periphery wear around the vug is certainly acceptable in the context of this incredibly richly hued specimen. A fine bonus on the back is the 2.5 cm vug filled with another generation of cobaltoan calcite. The finest, most richly colored specimens, such as this came from the mid-1980s finds, with very few since. Classic, beautiful and most colorful material.
