Item Description
A STRIKING and DRAMATIC CABINET specimen of shocking, gemmy and lustrous, vivid pink cobaltoan calcite rhombs covering the elongated matrix plate of this incredible specimen from recent finds at the well-known Aghbar Mine at Bou Azzer, Morocco. The crystals just have this amazing saturation of color and the rhombs reach 9 mm on the diagonal. I have NOT seen many of these of this size around, so if you''re into color, here''s something you would love! The trivial amount of periphery wear and scattered bruising are a very minimal detraction to such a shocking piece! The color is, literally, the ultimate for this locale! Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued in cost at $150 aside from the rock itself. For the specimen value, well, we sold a similar one recently through a major "real world" Natural History Auction house and it fetched $3000 or so.
