Cobaltoan Calcite

Item Description

This very showy Bou Azzer cobaltoan calcite features uncommon for the locale, luscious, lustrous, rose-pink rhombs, rather than more commn vivid pink rhombs. There is a small band of vivid pink rhombs on the piece. The translucent crystals have beautiful waxy luster. Pristine in the interior, with the modest periphery wear only a minimal detraction. Highly representative and uncommon of this find, as the rhombs have fine color and luster. The color reminds us of rare manganoan smithsonite from Tsumeb. Valued at $400.
