Item Description

Striking oriented hematite inclusions on the edges of the "petals" of the rosette of pretty pastel-pink cobaltoan smithsonite rhombs make for an outstanding display specimen from Tsumeb. The lustrous, translucent, flattened rhombs reach 2.4 cm and rest on the mother rock of massive ore/sulfide matrix. In excellent shape, overall. One broken crystal, one gently bruised crystal and a modest bit of periphery wear are noted. A very unusual, uncommon and showy combination Tsumeb smithsonite. Older material. Valued at $900.
