Cobaltian Calcite stalactite slice

A beautiful polished slice through what was a fairly nice stalactite of cobaltian rich calcite (coloring it pink). This is the ONLY place we see these from, for whatever geological reasons! You can see the concentric deposition layers. It has wonderful hues from light salmon pink to a red hue. This is a truly impressive mineral specimen! This was cut from a pocket of stalactites of large size found in about 2001. Never seen others...
