A dynamically sculptural, 5.1 cm, doubly terminated, hot pink cobalt-rich Calcite crystal is beautifully set atop the very sculptural matrix from the unique mid-1980s finds at the famous Mashamba West Mine of DR Congo. The striking, forked "tail" and the scattered, contrasting, primary Malachite crystals (UNUSUAL!) on the translucent, frosted crystal with satin luster faces dramatically enhance the crystal. Colorless, translucent Calcite rhombohedrons, to 1.3 cm on edge, patches of pretty powder-blue Chrysocolla AND patches of tiny, sharp, pinkish-brown, Dolomite rhombohedrons really add character and color to this outstanding combination. In great shape, overall. You can barely notice, that the outside tip of the large calcite is gently cleaved (but only visible up close, only a negligible detraction). This is a remarkable combination with an exquisite cobalt-rich calcite from the noted locale and renowned finds.
