Item Description
Here is an uncommon Tsumeb classic specimen showing lustrous vibrant magenta-pink Cobalt-bearing Dolomite with intense color for the varietal. This colorful small cabinet piece hosts abundant, scintillating Cobalt-bearing Dolomite crystals as a coating that is 3 to 6 mm thick upon a matrix. The layered, character can be seen along the periphery of the specimen where it is contacted. Usually pale and pastel, barely pink, this is another level from the usual! It is certainly one of the more richly colored pieces we have seen and it is unusually sparkly given all of the 2 mm crystals that cover the entire display surface. It literally leaps out from a case...the color admittedly does not look real. It is neon...you cannot stop looking at it. Such color, size, and display quality are exceptional. Valued $3500-4500.
