Clinozoisite (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, dense cluster of parallel-growth clinozoisite blades with a very nifty herringbone-pattern. The gemmy, 2.2 cm, sharply terminated crystal laying across the top of the piece is a striking "cap". Most of the lustrous crystals are quite gemmy and the color ranges from clove-brown to olive-green. A few green actinolite sprays are scattered about. Highly representative and rich material from this "Alpine-type" locale from the Bob Trimingham Collection. It displays well without aid.
