A superb, aesthetic and RARE small cabinet combination plate from the Alpine-type clefts at Alchuri, famous for world-class epidote and titanite specimens. Striking, gem, olive-green clinozoisite needles, to 1.8 cm, are dramatically and aesthetically scattered on the thin matrix plate richly covered with RARE lustrous, translucent calcite rhombs with satin lustre faces. The freestanding clinozoisite needle on the edge is 1.8 cm and the partially hidden needle with the tip impaled in the large calcite is about 2.0 cm long. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. It's hard to see the broken clinozoisite buried among the calcites. An exceptional and unique 360-degree combination from the Herb Obodda Collection # 982. Fairly valued at $1500-2000 and well-worth it. A MUST for the calcite, species or locality collector!
