Item Description
Clinoptilolite is among the rarest, and certainly most complex, of all the Zeolite Group. These rare, pinkish crystals are in a Laumontite-coated vug, and this is the first mention of Clinoptilolite from India that I can find. There are eight clusters (books) of crystals, with individual Clinoptilolites ranging up to 1.3 cm across. They are glassy, lustrous, and pristine. This is the finest Clinoptilolite specimen that I have EVER seen, and it is better in person. Last purchased for $1,450 by the previous owner in the 1990s....from the infamous travelling salesman, Keith Proctor. Ouch. In all seriousness, it IS a very good example of this species. We value it more like $300.
