Clinoclase (rare locale)

Item Description

Mineral specimens of any type are RARE from this obscure copper mine in Zambia. Sparkly sprays of tiny, gemmy, rich teal-blue clinoclase lathes richly cover the matrix plate on this rich, colorful and rare specimen. Clinoclase is an uncommon hydroxyl Cu-arsenate and this is an exceptional and rich piece from this locale. I am inclined to believe this as it comes from an old collection tht Cal Graeber handled many years go, and still retains his label.
