Clinoclase (rare classic material)

Item Description

A beautiful old-time classic speicmen from the famed Wheal Gorland in Cornwall featuring micro crystals of vivid to dark blue coloerd Clinoclase associated with olive-green colored Olivenite with a bit of Quartz on matrix. Wheal Gorland is the type locality for Clinoclase, while Olivenite was first reported from the Carharrack Mine in Cornwall. Under magnification, you can see some attractive crystals of both species, but they are tiny, and we've photographed them with a marco lens to better illustrate the quality. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html).
