Item Description

Pennine is a rare pseudo-trigonal variety of clinochlore. This is a showy and excellent cluster of two intergrown crystals. One face and the base are cleaved, showing the typical pearlescent luster and green to black color. The termination face and one side are covered with tiny sparkly, brownish-green grossular garnet crystals. Probably around 100-years old, with the old label on the bottom. Classic and excellent combination material from this well-known Swiss locale. Ex Gilbert Gauthier and Howard Belsky Collections.
