Item Description

When do you see a good specimen of this species where it is the main, display-worthy event, instead of a side show!? This is a RARE and unusually sculptural combination from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. MINDAT lists cleavlandite as a species present, but has no examples in their Photo Gallery. A striking parallel-growth cluster of sharp, glassy, blue-gray cleavelandite blades dramatically rises up from the pretty lavender lepidolite matrix. A well-placed, gorgeous gem, 1.6 cm, teal-blue tourmaline with a matte dark purple termination and subtle light pink core and the lepidolites books are superlative accents to this RARE and striking combination. Undoubtably older material from the 1970s and 80s finds. Valued at $1000-ish.
