Doubly terminated with a superbly sharp and angled bipyamidal termination, this elbaite crysral has a dark color, and a typical Malchan matte luster. It has only moderate translucence with strong backlighting, although the photos are taken with distant lighting so as not to over-exaggerate the color. However, when backlit the color is really a nice greenish yellow with a 4mm purplish zone at the basal termination. The mass is 90 grams. Klaus Neumann Collection.
