classic Russian Tourmaline

Item Description

A classic multicolored Malchan tourmaline, from this famous pegmatite occurrence. Although this superbly formed elbaite crystal exhibits a matte luster typical for the locale, it is beautifully translucent and colorful; with the lower 2/3 of the crystal being yellowish green and the upper third a reddish brown color. Very translucent for a Malkhan piece of this style. The mass is 116 grams. ex. Klaus Neumann collection. This piece comes with a custom, engraved lucite base ($145 normally).
