Item Description

A classic and beautiful, color-zoned fluorite crystal cluster from the famous Minerva #1 Mine of Illinois. The pretty purple edge phantoms really accentuate the golden-amber interiors on these glassy crystals with nifty stepped-growth and lightly frosted faces. This striking specimen has several display possibilities, as you can see, to show off the fabulous color zoning. The large cube is 2.2 cm. The sprinkling of brassy chalcopyrite crystals, especially on one cube is a nice accent. Nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of edge wear on the large cube. Very fine material from this famous locale. Ex Jaime Bird Collection. Valued $850.
