Item Description
An excellent and dramatic fluorite specimen from the famed Minerva #1 Mine of Southern Illinois. This lustrous, translucent, color-zoned crystals have the classic yellow core with vivid bands of blue and and then purple. The backlit photo highlight the distinctive and gorgeous color zoning. The frosted, striking stepped faces really add character. The large cube is 4.8 cm. This piece is in great shape, with only a trivial bit of periphery wear. A worthy and classic Illinois fluorite.
