Item Description
Naturally occurring gem quality Citrine is not seen from many localities around the world. With that said, the crystal in this rough and cut set is NOT heated, while the gemstone is in fact heated. The gem most likely started out as a faceted Amethyst, and then was later transformed into the nearly eye clean "Modified Shield" cut gem that we see before us. The crystal is a fantastic example of crystallized Quartz with stunning internal clarity (virtually water clear), along with extremely sharp and glassy faces. It is highlighted by Feldspar on the back / side of the piece. The crystal is not 100% perfect, as it is contacted on the back, but it's still a very impressive Quartz crystal, regardless of the color, it's only the fact that it's natural Citrine that makes it even more enticing. Valued at $1100.
