Here we have a beautiful GEM QUALITY carving of of a rabbit in rich golden Citrine from Brazil. The piece is virtually WATER CLEAR throughout, and has excellent detail. It sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Often times, one encounters Citrine gems on the market that were heated to turn them yellow. Typically these stones start out as natural Amethyst and are altered to create the yellow color. This carving. is more than likely a heated gem that was once Amethyst. Very attractive in person, and certainly worth adding to a collection, or to be placed into a custom piece of jewelry, or put on display in your case at home.
