A naturally-colored citrine quartz of exceptional, intense orange-yellow color. Wonderful jewelry stone or to pair with a natural crystal for a stunning rough-and-cut set. In our opinion this location is much underrated as a source for fine quartz gems. Natural stones, without heat treatment to artificially give them the orange tones, should be more highly prized than the abundant treated material on the market. 8.51 cts. From the older worldwide rarities suite of the Jim Houran gem collection, before he started focus on USA species and gems.
