Item Description

Without question, the finest crystals of Danburite in the world come from Charcas. Typically, you'll find only loose single crystals from this locality, but they are seldom associated with any other minerals. This piece is special because it features a handful of Citrine crystals, which are incredibly hard to find from this locality. I've only seen a few of these specimens over the years, and this miniature is a great example as it is good quality and showy to boot. The Citrine crystals are all sharp, lustrous and gemmy, with an attractive golden-yellow hue sitting on translucent gemmy, white to colorless Danburite prisms with a classic "chisel-shaped" termination. The piece is in good condition overall, though there are a few small contacts. If you collect gem crystals, Mexican minerals or just unusual association specimens, do not miss out on this attractive miniature from this famous locality.
