Item Description
Charcas is best known for its world-class Danburite crystals (the finest of the species ever found), but this piece is special because it features a handful of Citrine crystals, which are incredibly hard to find from this locality. I've only seen a few of these specimens over the years, and this miniature is a great example as it is not only good quality, but showy to boot. The Citrine crystals are all sharp, lustrous and gemmy, with an attractive golden-yellow hue sitting on a translucent white / colorless Danburite prism with a classic "chisel-shaped" termination. The largest Citrine measures 6 mm long. The piece is in good condition overall, though there are a few small contacts. If you collect gem crystals, Mexican minerals or just unusual association specimens, do not miss out on this attractive miniature from this famous locality.
