Item Description

The finest quality crystals of Danburite ever found are those from Charcas, but this piece is special because it features a handful of Citrine crystals, which are incredibly hard to find from this locality. I've only seen a few of these pieces over the years, and this one is a great example since it is both displayable and good quality. The Citrine crystals on this specimen measure up to 7 mm and are all sharp, lustrous and gemmy, with an attractive golden-brown. They are sitting on a translucent white / colorless Danburite prism with a classic "chisel-shaped" termination. The piece is in good condition overall, though there are a few areas of interrupted growth or simple contacts. If you collect gem crystals, Mexican minerals or just unusual association specimens, do not miss out on this attractive large miniature / small cabinet from this famous locality.
