A really attractive piece of this contemporary classic material of NATURAL (untreated) Citrine from the Congo. I remember when this stuff started coming to the market about 15 years ago and it was all labeled as being from Zambia in order to keep it secret from other diggers. I don't know if more specimens are still being found, but I do know that good ones are few and far between these days. This piece features a predominant center crystal with a group of smaller overgrowths of gemmy Citrine on the front. The reverse side of the piece is contacted where it detached from the pocket wall, but overall, the display side is nearly undamaged with plenty of lustrous, sharp, gemmy crystals.
