A large number of the Brazilian Citrines stones that you'll see for sale on the market have been heated to turn them yellow. These gem almost always start out in the ground as natural Amethyst, and through heating at the right temperature over a period of time, they will turn yellow. This stone has been heated, which is a perfectly safe and acceptable practice in the gem world, provided that the buyer is aware that the stone has been heated. It has a strong golden-yellow hue with nearly eye clean clarity with a lovely "Step Square" cut.
