Citrine (heated)

Citrine is a well-known semi-precious gem, that has been known for centuries, but the vast majority of the Citrine gems you will see on the market today have been heated to turn them yellow. Most Citrines offered for sale (especially from Brazil) start out as natural purple Amethyst, and through heating they color will change to yellow. This particular stone is a heated Citrine with with great color saturation and a cllassic "Emerald" cut. The stone is virtually eye clean, and is very attractive in person. It would make a nice addition to a collection, or to be placed into a custom piece of jewelry.
