Citrine (good sized NATURAL / un-treated stone)

An attractive and good-sized Citrine gem with a beautiful "Emerlad" cut from Brazil. Citrine is well-known among gem dealers, collectors and jewelry enthusiasts. It's the yellow variety of Quartz, but a lot of people don't know that the majority of the material on the market has been heated to create the yellow color. Most of the commercial Citrine gems you'll find on the market started out as Amethyst and have been heated to turn them yellow. That is NOT the case with this stone, as it hasn't been heated or treated in any way, it came out of the ground like this. The stone has some very slight incusions, and would make for a superb center stone in a pendant. This stone came to us from a dealer priced originally at $946.50 retail.
