Citrine (custom faceted by Brett Kosnar)

This is a wonderful big Citrine gem from Brazil with a rich golden-yellow color. It's important to note that this stone has been heated to enhance the color. This practice is completely safe and accepted throughout the gem trade, as long as the buyer knows that they are buying a heated stone. The stone was faceted by Brett Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co in 2015. Brett cut the stone from a large piece of rough and it took over 6 hours for cutting and polishing.  The result is this large, brilliant and beautiful stone weighing almost 30 cts! This stone has a unique cut that resembles the shape of an eye, and is rightfully named the “Cleopatra’s Eye”. A fantastic stone that would make for a unique piece of jewelry, or a great addition to a custom gem collection. It's a big stone for sure, and looks great in person. Valued at $1,242.00 high retail.
