Item Description
A good percentage of the Citrine that one encounters on the market have been heated to turn them yellow. The majority of these stones begin as natural Amethyst and then heated to create the yellow color. This stone is more than likely a heated gem that was once Amethyst. With that said, it is a good sized gem, with nice color saturation and good cutting. It is nearly eye clean in clarity with an "Emerald" cut.
From the old inventory of Ray Zajicek, a respected wholesaler and founding member of AGTA and the International Colored Gemstone Association, with decades of experience in the gem and jewelry business. Ray has won more than a dozen Spectrum & Cutting Edge Awards (TM).
