Item Description
Here we have a hard to find thumbnail specimen of Cinnabar with Stibnite from the Nikitovka Mine in the Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. The piece features sharp, well-formed, lustrous Cinnabar crystals measuring a few mm which are intergrown with thin prismatic, silvery crystals of Stibnite plus minor Quartz and no matrix. The Cinnabar crystals GLOW with an intense red hue when backlit. They honestly look like Proustite, and the color is as red as mineral you can think of. The piece is in excellent condition overall, and would make a nice addition to any sulfide suite or a collection of simply worldwide Cinnabar specimens. The piece is accompanied by a label from Dave Bunk Minerals attributed to the Harold Michel Collection.
