Mineral specimens from this former mercury mine are very uncommon and this is an EXTREMELY RARE combination specimen from the Ed Oyler Collection, a noted California collector who specialized in San Benito County minerals. The nifty banding in this sculptural piece features layers of reddish-brown cinnabar, with rare for the locale, layers of gray metacinnabar. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
