Item Description
Gemmy, lustrous, cherry-red cinnabar crystals, to 4 mm, and crystal sections are richly scattered in a druzy quartz vein with metallic stibnite blades, to 1.1 cm and a single RARE, flattened, 8 mm, Calcite rhombohedron. The hefty for the size blocky small cabinet matrix is massive stibnite. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. A rare and rich, highly representative combination small cabinet with rare calcite from the aptly named Red Devil Mercury Mine, Alaska’s largest mercury producer, worked intermittently from 1933 to 1981.
