Item Description
Scintillating, juicy, cherry-red, cinnabar crystals (some fine drill bit twins) to 5 mm are attractively clustered and sprinkled on the vuggy drusy quartz matrix with scattered tiny quartz points. This is a showy and excellent combination plate from this less well-known deposit. Ex Fersman Museum Collection, according to the Bob Trimingham label. Purchased in 1990, when Fersman curators were coming to the US to sell material.
