Item Description
Lustrous, translucent, scarlet-red crystals and crusts of cinnabar richly and attractively cover the thin quartz plate with quartz crystals on this very fine and rare for the locale combination specimen from this old and obscure mercury mining district. Undoubtably old-time material, but no proof. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from respected rarities dealer Excaliber Mineral Co. in 1992.
