Item Description
Fine Cinnabar specimens from China began coming out of China in the early 1900's. Initially the Cinnabars were twinned, then fine untwinned Cinnabar specimens like this piece came available. This fabulous miniature features a pristine, tabular, lustrous and translucent cherry-red Cinnabar crystal. This crystal measures 1.1 cm across, and it is set aesthetically amid subhedral white Quartz. These large untwinned crystals are actually LESS common than the twins we all wanted when they first came out, and often overlooked. This one is excellent for color and aesthetics!
