Item Description

A 1.0 cm, brick-red, cinnabar rhomb is jauntily set in a vug of rich blue-green, semi-hedral fluorite crystals. This showy, excellent and uncommon combination piece is from an obscure Kyrgyzstan locale, dates to 1989, when USSR pieces were just reaching the US. It was formerly in the Fersman Museum Collection, according to the Bob Trimingham label. Bright purple fluorescence.
