A 1.0 cm, splendent, gemmy and lustrous, cherry-red, cinnabar crystal is aestheticaly set in lustrous, cream-colored dolomite rhombs on this showy and excelent specimen from Tongren, China, the premier locality for fine cinnabar crystals. The crystal has this beautiful, "ruby-silver" look to it, just like proustite or pyragyrite crystals! It is a fine example of the combination species and locale.
