Scintillating, gemmy, cherry-red, cinnabar crystals to 2 mm fill a sculptural vug atop matrix on this rich and excellent old-timer from this ancient and well-known mercury mine. The rich and showy matrix is composed of microcrystalline cinnabar with striking brecciated and vein quartz. An old paper label is glued to one side. Ex Herb Obodda Collection # 1251 and valued at $500 by him. a rarity!
