Item Description
A rich, showy and exceptional specimen of blush-red cinnabar included in a striking vug of dogtooth calcite crystals from the famous Terlingua District of Texas. Texas has so few fine mineral specimen producing districts, but this example certainly qualifies! Probably older material, as there has been little production since 1947. Ex Jean Hamel Collection. I bought this in the 1990s from her collection liquidation
