Item Description

Mineral specimens of any variety are rare from this extinct mercury mining district (WW II-era). This colorful specimen features red cinnabar included in brecciated common opal. The lapidary trade name for this material is "myrickite". RARE and excellent material from this locale. One edge has been sawed. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and obtained in 1961. 115 grams mass.
