Cinnabar (ex Dr. Miguel Romero Collection)

This piece came only labeled as being found in San Luis Potosi, perhaps from the San Bartolo Mine in Charcas, but I can't be certain. Small groups of semi-spherical deep red color Cinnabar with a "drusy" exterior can be found sitting atop Quartz crystals on matrix. A real oddity and very attractive up close, and certainly worth adding to your collection for the curiosity factor alone!
