Item Description

Lustrous, cherry-red cinnabar crystals, to 1.0 cm, are embedded in calcite matrix on this rich, colorful and showy miniature from Charcas. The contacted back is nearly solid cinnabar crystals, a fine bonus. These are Mexico's finest cinnabar specimens and came out in the early 1960s, with none since. A choice minature example.
